The tranquil atmosphere of the Portumna Nursing Home is created throughout in various recreational, activity rooms and extensive gardens. Bedrooms are dispersed throughout, achieving a fine balance of community and privacy. All our bedrooms are en-suite, ensuring privacy and independence.
The Village caters for all levels of dependency, including convalescent and respite care. A specialist High Dependency Unit caters for guests suffering from dementia.
Recreational activities play a large part of life in The Village, with hydrotherapy baths for our active guests and our library, gardens, cinema and hobby rooms for the more contemplative resident.

Independent Living Units (ILUs)

A new concept in retirement and continuing care for people over 55, The Village comprises 22 compact homes -or  independent living units - six single and 16 double, a 65-bed nursing home and a community & social centre. The Village is set in tranquil landscaped gardens with walks, seating, sheltered areas and a running water feature.

• Emergency response to residents of the ILUs through direct call system
• The “smart” system in the ILUs will alert the Nursing Home of any problem, ensuring the continuing well-being and security of residents.
