Management and Staff at Portumna Retirement Village were delighted to learn that they had won the Action Coach National Award 2016 for Best Company Team Culture.

The award is in recognition of the team culture at Portumna Retirement Village where the focus of all team members is on the resident and making sure that above all else the needs of the resident come first. Teamwork is essential to the operations of the retirement village and the culture of accepting ownership for one’s own actions, and responsibility for the work that must be done and knowing that one is accountable to your colleagues is a key belief of the team.

Accepting the award at the awards ceremony in the Gibson Hotel in Dublin, Peter Feerick was fulsome in his praise for the staff, their ability to work together, and their dedication to the residents.
