Residents of Portumna Retirement Village got to vote early on the Referrendum on Marriage and the Referendum on the Age of President. Residents voted on Thursday 14th May. Two voting booths were set up and residents were able to cast their vote in private.

Residents at Portumna Retirement Village are listed on a special votoers role and can exercise their right to vote in elections and in any referendum from the comfort of the nursing home.

Speaking after the vote, residents expressed thier delight at the facility that gives them the ability to vote and have their say on important matters that affect the country.
