We were delighted to welcome both the Liam McCarthy Cup and the Irish Press Cup to Portumna Retirement Village. All Ireland medallists Joe Canning, Martin Dolphin and Jack Canning kindly came by to visit with the cups. As a lot of our residents are avid GAA supporters, this was a very special moment for all, especially as it was the first time in 28 years that Galway had won the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
